Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced copywriter with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and compelling copy. The ideal candidate has experience writing digital copy and can lead, support, and inspire our copy team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that aligns with our client’s unique brands and identities. This often includes detailed research to define a relevant content strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, development, studio, and client strategy to ensure a unified brand message and consistent storytelling across all touchpoints.
  • Conceptualize and create high-quality, persuasive, and on-brand copy for various mediums, including but not limited to website content, social media, email campaigns, and more.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously evolve and enhance our content strategies. This includes SEO, UX, social, and pop culture trends.
  • Work with the Creative Director to define the best strategies for the Creative Team team to achieve the best results on craft, performance, and productivity. 
  • Lead a team of talented copywriters, providing mentorship, and guidance while setting them up for success.
  • Measure the performance of campaigns and optimize based on results. 
  • Lead multiple content projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and cross-departmental coordination.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Copywriter within a marketing role, preferably in an agency environment with a proven track record of creating engaging content for a variety of platforms. 
  • Experience defining and executing the long-term copy strategy for a brand. 
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail and a strong command of grammar and syntax.
  • Experience in a leadership role, with a grasp of how to lead, support, and inspire.
  • In-depth understanding of SEO, digital marketing trends, and social media best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and collaborative skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing a range of work, including samples of copy for different industries and mediums. Web and social are must-haves. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and compelling copy. 
  • You ideally have a degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
